- Kiener Plaza
- Laclede’s Landing
- Gateway Arch
- Eads Bridge
Flight arrived in the morning and it takes about 45-50 minutes to get downtown by public transportation. Wandered around the streets for a little bit and went to Kiener Plaza – very nice vantage point of the Old Courthouse with the Arch in the background. Went to Laclede’s Landing for lunch – nice area, pretty good food and views too. Went up the Gateway Arch, the view is awesome and the little carts they send you up in are very cramped but neat. The viewing area isn’t that large and you kind of have to lean over to see, so it could be a little sketchy if you’re not comfortable with heights. Went back down, walked across Eads Bridge across the Mississippi to Illinois and back again. Took the metro back to the airport and flew home.
The Arch is unique, looks cool from a distance and at the top. Very easy to get around with public transportation right from the airport. The baseball stadium looks great from the Arch, so if you’re a baseball fan it’s probably an awesome one to go in.
